Turnstone Estates has commenced work on the redevelopment of the Ridgeons timber and builders’ merchant branch in Saffron Walden and the 32 acre Ashdon Road Commercial Park in which the branch sits.
The development will deliver a new branch for Ridgeons, space for other commercial/ industrial premises and up to 167 new homes, plus a small amount of retail space.
Demolition and land remediation works were completed in February and PDR Construction has now been appointed to construct a 40,000 sq ft new builders’ merchants for Ridgeons, together with servicing to the other elements of the site.
