The West Cambridge Site is home to the University’s physics laboratories and commercial companies such as Schlumberger and Aveva.
Turnstone entered into a Development Agreement with the University to provide a central cafe facility for the West Cambridge Site; a 16,485 sq ft incubator unit and seminar centre to be run by Cambridge Enterprise; and a 42,236 sq ft research and development building for commercial operators (the Broers Building).
Planning permission obtained for a scheme by award-winning architects Wilkinson Eyre.
Speculative development financed by Dunbar Bank and completed on schedule in November 2009. Joint Venture entered into with Burall Developments.
Lettings to Nokia Research (to further their collaboration with the University), to Andago, Comsol, Elektron, Enthought, Avidity IP, InvokeCapital Partners, Maplesoft and Base 4 Innovation.
Let investment sold back to the University in October 2013 for £13.3m.
